Oct. 19/99 Our Keira earned 2 CD legs in her first two trials (Novice B), placing 1st in one of them.
Sept. 2/99 On June 7, 1999 we lost our beloved Nekah to cancer and the depth of my grief has been so great (and still is) that I haven't been able to update this website until just now. On a happier note, our Abby took Best of Opposite Sex at the Vizsla Canada Nationals in July/99 as well as Best Cdn bred for the second year in a row. Jester earned a Temperament Test title. Sasha's son, Gingersnap Coriander Paul (out of CH Gingersnap Dunmore's Pride), recently finished his Cdn Championship title. Sasha sired 6 pups, born July 25/99. Added a couple more photos of Bart and Bartok. Almost 3000 visitors to our site since Nov. 3/98.
May 31, 1999 I was informed that Sasha earned the position of #5 Vizsla in Obedience in overall standings for Canada in 1998. This was quite a surprise as his standing was based on only 1 CDX score earned in 1998 but it was sufficiently high to earn him a top placement. Needless to say, I am thrilled!
May 27, 1999 Family illnesses and a death in recent months have left less time for dogs and dog activities although we continue to train for obedience (Novice, Open and just started Utility). Sasha was recently bred to Lucy (CH Pozsony Csongrad Lucy CD TD) from Vancouver, BC.
March 1, 1999 It was a family affair in obedience at the Niagara Falls, N.Y. "Rainbow Cluster" as both Sasha and Nekah finished their American CD's. Now it's back to CDX training and trialing and a start to Utility training with Sasha.
February 24, 1999 Our web site was "off the air" for about a week due to being moved to another server. You may notice some formatting changes - different background, navigation bar, etc. because several 'old' things didn't work when we moved our site to the new server. I hope everything works now. Added at least one new photo of Nekah, Bob, and Keira. Updated Sasha's page with obedience information (we've been busy training and competing at trials).
January 24, 1999 Corrected dates for some of Sasha's titles (somehow I had him earning titles before he was even born) and a date on one of Nekah's titles.
January 20, 1999 Sasha and I earned 2 legs of his American CD in Hamburg, N.Y. on January 16 & 17. Learned that Rex is currently #1 Vizsla in Canada. Added some more photos of Rex.
January 8, 1999 Happy New Year from the Varazs Vizslas! We had 416 hits on our site between Nov. 3 and Dec, 31, 1998. Thanks to all who visited in 1998. We look forward to having visitors in 1999 and judging by the hits on our site in the first week alone (almost 100) after New Year's, our site has been very active. Added new pages and photos for Jiggs and Zoë both of whom just celebrated their sixth birthdays on Dec. 31, 1998; also added a page for Bob (born Aug. 22/95) and created a page for Tammy (also born Aug. 22/95) but haven't had a chance to scan and upload photos on her yet. Added at least one more photo on the pages for Buster, Marco, Kat, Jazz, and Sasha and if you're keeping track, also added some CKC registration numbers and tattoos for several of the dogs. We added a lovely sketch of our house on our About Varazs page so you can see how our dogs live. Right now, however, we're digging out from a major snowstorm and I've added another photo of our house from Dec.1992 when we had just about as much snow as this month. There's too much snow and it's been too cold to take the dogs for walks right now.
